“Hats Off to You” and welcome to the South Dakota P.E.O. website.  We are the Rushmore State and are very proud of our heritage and that includes our P.E.O. heritage, too.  Our South Dakota Chapter was organized in October of 1916 and presently has 100 chapters and going strong with close to 3900 members. We are proud to be P.E.O.s!

The theme for our 2012 – 2013 P.E.O. year is P.E.O.s Wear Many H.A.T.S.  We are having fun Wearing Many Hats -  those that are fashion accessories, but in reality we are talking about all the ‘hats’ we as P.E.O.s wear that identify us in so many ways as P.E.O.s – the hat we wear when we visit one of our elderly or ill sisters, the hat we wear when we welcome that new member into our chapter, the hat we each wear as we share our program for a chapter meeting. I think you get the idea as it is explained in this way:
                H. – Helping our Sisters
                A. – Affirming our Sisterhood
                T. – Telling our Story
                S. – Sharing our Gifts

You all come visit us for our 2013 State Convention May 16 – 18 in Deadwood, South Dakota – yes, THE Deadwood. We promise you that we will all be donning our real hats and, of course, wearing our many P.E.O. ‘hats’ to make this convention fun and informative.
